Cookie Policy
Which cookies the site uses, what they are for and how you can choose which ones to accept.
Last updated: 23 July 2026
This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies and similar technologies used by the website www.siculiani.com (hereinafter, the "Website"), the purposes for which they are used and how users can manage their preferences, in accordance with art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 ("Privacy Code"), as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018, with the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 8 May 2014 and 10 June 2021 issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), and with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy of the Website, to which reference is made for any further information on the processing of personal data.
1. Data controller
The controller of the data collected through cookies is GREEN LAB SRL, with registered office at via Eremo 13, 95017 Piedimonte Etneo (CT), VAT no. 06005950875, who can be contacted by email at [email protected] or by certified email (PEC) at [email protected].
2. What cookies are
2.1 Cookies are small text files that the sites you visit send to your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites on later visits. Cookies are used for different purposes: carrying out computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations of users accessing the server, statistical analysis of how the site is used, etc.
2.2 The term "cookie" also covers similar technologies, such as local storage, session storage, pixel tags and web beacons, which may be used for purposes similar to those of traditional cookies.
3. Types of cookies used by the site
3.1 Technical (necessary) cookies
These are the cookies strictly necessary for the Website to work properly and for the use of the services requested by the user (e.g. managing the shopping cart, managing login to the reserved area, storing the cookie preferences expressed through the banner). Under art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code, these cookies do not require the user's prior consent to be installed.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _iub_cs | Iubenda | Stores the cookie preferences expressed by the user through the banner | 12 months |
| psh_session | Siculiani.com (first party) | Management of the user session and shopping cart | 24 hours |
| _pk_ses.* / _pk_id.* | Siculiani.com (first party) | Statistical purposes | 30 days |
| __stripe_mid __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention and security while the payment is processed | From session to 12 months |
Note: Stripe cookies are installed only on the checkout page at the time of payment and are considered technical cookies, as they are strictly necessary to provide the payment service requested by the user and to prevent fraud, as set out in the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools.
3.2 Analytics (statistics) cookies — Google Analytics
The Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), which uses cookies to collect and analyze, in aggregate form, information on how users use the Website (pages visited, time spent, traffic source, device used, etc.).
These cookies are installed only with the user's explicit prior consent, given through the cookie banner managed by Iubenda, and are not activated until the user gives consent. The user may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie preferences panel, which can be opened from the link at the bottom of this page or of the Website.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated identifier | 13 months |
| _ga_[container-id] | Google Analytics | Maintains the session state for Google Analytics 4 | 13 months |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users | 24 hours |
GREEN LAB SRL has configured Google Analytics with masking (anonymization) of the user's IP address, where technically available according to the settings offered by the provider. That said, since Google Analytics involves the transfer of data to Google LLC in the United States, the installation of the related cookies remains in any case subject to the user's prior consent.
Data collected through Google Analytics is transferred to the United States on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and/or Google's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where applicable. For more information: Google Privacy Policy and browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
3.3 Third-party profiling and marketing cookies
At present, the Website does not use third-party profiling or marketing cookies (e.g. Meta Pixel, advertising remarketing, social plugins with tracking). Should tools of this kind be activated in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated beforehand and the user will be asked for specific consent through the cookie banner before such cookies are installed.
4. Consent management — cookie banner
4.1 On first accessing the Website, the user sees an information banner, managed through the Iubenda platform (Cookie Management Platform), which allows the user to:
- continue browsing without giving any consent, with only the necessary technical cookies in use;
- accept all cookies, including the use of Google Analytics;
- reject non-technical cookies with an action as simple as accepting them;
- open an advanced settings panel to select, category by category, which cookies to activate.
4.2 No non-technical cookie is installed before the user has made a choice through the banner.
4.3 The user may at any time change or withdraw their cookie preferences by opening the preferences panel through the "Manage cookie preferences" link in the Website footer, or by resetting their browser settings as described in point 5 below.
4.4 The preference expressed by the user is recorded by the Iubenda platform through a dedicated technical cookie (see the table in point 3.1) and is requested again after 12 months, or earlier in the event of substantial changes to the purposes of processing or to the list of cookies used.
5. Managing cookies through your browser
5.1 In addition to what is set out in point 4, users can manage their cookie preferences directly in their browser and prevent, for example, third parties from installing cookies. Browser preferences also make it possible to delete cookies installed in the past, including any cookie in which consent to the installation of cookies by the Website has been saved.
5.2 Information on how to manage cookies in the most popular browsers is available at the following addresses:
5.3 Please note that disabling technical cookies may affect the proper use of some Website features, such as managing the shopping cart or accessing the reserved area.
6. Legal basis and rights of the data subject
6.1 The processing of personal data carried out through technical cookies is based on the need to provide the service requested by the user (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and does not require consent under art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code.
6.2 The processing of personal data carried out through analytics cookies (Google Analytics) is based on the user's free, specific and informed consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
6.3 For the full list of the rights granted to the data subject (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, complaint to the Data Protection Authority) and how to exercise them, please refer to section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Updates to the cookie policy
7.1 This Cookie Policy may change over time, including as a result of changes in legislation or the introduction of new tracking tools on the Website. Users are invited to check this page periodically. In the event of substantial changes, the user will be asked for new consent through the cookie banner, where necessary.
